The Power of SOUND
We have many ways to greet each other every day; “Good morning” “Welcome” Good day” “Take care” and more unending greetings and salutations but are we doing that? Are we having such a time? The ‘storm’ of Covid19 is sweeping not just through our lives but every single country. The world is now in its belly and yes, no one is left untouched. For those of us that will survive, grief will be our companion. So what and how shall we proceed? I suggest two tools that may bring some comfort;
OBSERVE AND KNOW
History has shown us that we always overcome
Change is inevitable
REMEMBER AND BELIEVE
We all have free will, choices
Just like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, we always have the power

Many ailments and negative emotions are affecting us and I could write a book on natural solutions for any complaint but unless we choose to take control of what we can control, the ailments and negativity will re-surface in a different form.
Let us look to rise above this current not ‘get through’. Setting our intention is the key way forward, not worrying about the how. Using the tools of wellbeing as a bridge to help and support us as our mind and heart unite in the belief that “…. I don’t know when, I don’t know where but I know we’ll meet again, some sunny day”. (I wonder where I heard that before?) With a strong focus towards all that is uplifting and positive we will allow ease into the heart and mind and as a result, our emotions will lift as wellbeing hormones flood our body. This is the 80:20 principle of the matter. Why? Because the immune system is at the heart of the solution to heal and protect us.

All countries protect themselves by investing in their defence and individually, we should be doing the same. Subject ourselves to as much uplifting things as possible and the strongest and quickest route is through music. A great deal of research has proved the power of music on healing and shown the brain to respond instantly. Every cell in our bodies respond to music as it has the power to transcend trauma.
Music is sound and demonstrates to us how vibrations entering the ear will affect the brain and ultimately our responses in mood, thoughts and actions. Depression, sadness etc. carry a different vibration and two opposing vibrations cannot co-exist so what solutions do I suggest going forward?
First step, putting a playlist together. This very act itself is rewarding and eliminates boredom. Try listening to your favourite music, what did you dance to when you were in your twenties?? Search those vinyl’s, CDs or easier still, check out YouTube. Every generation of music is there.

Your mental wellbeing will thank you dearly. Combine technology with your healing and begin to feel yourself rise over the negative forces running rampant in the mental and emotional selves. As you do, watch how your body thanks you. Let us use our innate power of free will to choose to be happy by any beautiful means necessary.
While you’re searching and compiling check out some of these health ‘bridges’ to support your health along the way.
FATIGUE
Bio-Strath Elixir – Great energy boosting tonic. I use this in my clinic to help Post-Covid19 symptoms of exhaustion
DEPRESSION/OVERTHINKING
5HTP – Increase the feel good hormones with this supplement and look for brands that include Valerian if sleep disruption is a problem too.
ACHES + STIFFNESS
Omega 3,6,9 – Try and include these essential fatty acids through you diet with Linseed. Brown coloured one if constipation is also a factor for you or the yellow one is dryness of skin and hair is your additional factor.
Yes, Flaxseed is the same thing, it is just powdered and can be eaten neat with yoghurt etc.
LOW IMMUNE
Propolis Liquid- A great microbial herb and has uses with bacterial, viral and fungal infections. I may have mentioned this one before as its one of my first aid remedies. Full pipette in a shot glass of warm water to help with respiratory problems. So needed at this time of year.
GUT HEALTH & IMMUNITY
Probiotics – Support gut health which is the main centre for defence
STRESS
All the above will help replenish and support the body from stress but to cap it all off, a diffuser with a powerful soothing essential oil will help. Today’s oil is HOLY BASIL, also known as TULSI. An adaptogen to help balance the Cortisol levels. A hormone needed to help us cope when stressed but if it continues to pour into our system for too long, can lead to inflammation. This also comes in a tea form and is a great relaxant.
NATURAL SOLUTIONS TO EVERYDAY PROBLEMS
When all else fails, look up some puppy photos and let them pour their joy and love into your
eyes.
